stylishly waiting |
My RE and IVF nurse are definitely not the most punctual in the field, but from hearing others stories most are not. I really cant complain when I see my IVF nurse and her beaming smile as she comes to greet me in the waiting room. She's the best, and she texts. Who doesn't love an IVF nurse that will communicate with you via text?
Anyhow, today was my baseline which went like this; waiting for my fashionably late IVF nurse, blood draw, awkward vaginal ultrasound and receiving my calendar.
The ultrasound went well - no cysts and an AFC (Antral Follicle Count) of 17.
As I have said before my RE has switched things up this go around. In addition to the change of protocol from Antagonist to Lupron, I am now only stimming with Follistim (200 iu in the morning & 175 iu in the evening) and the 5 units of Lupron) rather than Follistim and Menopur.
The reasoning can pretty much be found in this case study.
I am willing to give it a go. The way I figure, switching it up, ups our chances of finding a good egg in our batch. So, lets all pray that we receive at least another 4 embryos for PGS testing.
